''Looking back on your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?''
In compassion to the Preliminary task I feel that I have personally progressed a lot in terms of my skills within media. When looking back into my Preliminary task now I feel that I have produced the work needed but didn't feel very confident with what I had created. For example, I have embedded: 180 degree rule; shot reverse shot match on action and clean cuts but didn't understand clearly why/how it was done. After looking at my opening sequence now I clearly understand why and how I embedded all of these things into my work.
When it came to editing my preliminary task together I felt that it was very rough and it could have been done neater. This was because of my basic skills and knowledge using 'I movie'. After compleating many other peices of work on this program my skills have risen and my editing skills for the opening sequence are much more clean, neat and tidy. I have compared these two sections to explain:
Thinking about what shots to include into the Preliminary task want easy; my skills with using the camera were very limited. I played it safe and shot very basic shots I were already familiar with just from my knowledge from watching films. When shooting for my opening sequence I thought carefully about complex angles and different shots I could include. For example, a loose frame of the male protagonist.
